Each year 200 Euclid High School students take the American Legion “Americanism” Examination. The test consists of 50 questions covering Federal, State, County, and Local government; the United States flag; and the United States Constitution.  An essay question is included as part of the test and is used in tie-breaking situations.

The boy and girl on each grade level with the highest scores are declared the “winners” and their examination papers are submitted for competition at the state level. Certificates are also awarded to Euclid High School and American Legion Post #343 for sponoring the activity.
